If you're interested in learning more about how the government spends its money, there are a few websites and resources that serve as a great launching pad for further exploration

USA Spending Explorer

For a high-level, graphical breakdown of spending by agency, check out https://www.usaspending.gov/explorer/agency . It's an interactive tree map of how much each government agency is allocated from the budget, and you can click into it for more details.

Datalab

For a more curated series of visualizations and graphical representations, the Datalab is a great resource. Along with raw visual data, the data lab provides context and supportive text to help you understand what you are looking at

API

If you're ready to take the plunge, and build your own application based off of data, there is also the usaspending API, which provides open access to the data in usaspending's database.
